World Diabetes Day

Today is World Diabetes Day, a day to spread awareness of diabetes and to support those who live with the disease. But it seems to me it should also be a day to thank all of those who support someone living with diabetes. In that spirit, I would like to recognize some pretty amazing people who have supported my son and our family and have helped make our lives living with T1D a bit easier:

My parents and sisters–you are my rock.
My in-laws and sister-in-law’s family
My neighbor and friend Beth–could not do this without you!
My son’s best pals, Benji, Dylan and John Jacob–Cole could not ask for better friends!
My friends Julia, Sandra, Kristin, Karen, Cindy, Kristi, Daisy, Jackie, and Nicolette–thanks for listening!
My neighbors Dale and Chris
My husband’s work colleague Shannon, a T1D with lots of advice and recipes
Family, friends, and strangers who donated to our Walk to a Cure fundraiser–thank you!

Spread the love–hug a diabetic today!
